Itinerary

Details of the Retreat
Come and enjoy a wonderful 7 day retreat where we will swim with wild dolphins and visit the majestic whales and friendly dolphins in the crystal blue warm waters of Hawaii.
Please note that some details in schedule may change.

What you will experience:
DAY 1
  • Arrive Kona Big Island Hawaii
  • Welcome and orientation
  • Welcome gathering 5pm and visit to 'Place of Refuge' Honanau for sunset meditation and swim and snorkel practice
DAY 2
  • 6.30am Breakfast awakened by aroma of organic Hawaiian coffee brewing! Tropical fruits, cereal, toast, coconut juice
  • 7.30am Down to bay for early swim/snorkel- snacks after swim on bay-introductory dive talk and practice. Swim with amazing sea life and maybe dolphins in the bay
  • Lunch and afternoon, afternoon local tour of the Captain Cook area- organic coffee farm Sunset Yoga with Jenn and meditation and lomi massage/healing session
  • 7pm- evening program- dolphin stories- Sound meditation 
DAY 3
  • Kona boat trip our special day to be out with the dolphins and do ceremony
  • 6.30am morning boat trip off Kona coast to visit huge dolphin pods and whales off the Kona coast.
  • Lunch in Kona town after morning of dolphin fun
  • Sunset Yoga and meditation with Jenn, Patricia
  • Afternoon- rest, 7pm evening session and guest speaker/ music and celebration
 DAY 4
  • 7am early dolphin swim in the bay, lunch
  • Afternoon visit to local sites and shops including local organic markets and craft market
  • Sunset Yoga and meditation, massage/
  • 7pm- Pod healing session with group ​
​DAY 5
  •   Pele Ceremony day-amazing trip to the home of Pele
  •   Early breakfast and travel across the center of the island to Puna (Hilo side). Visit to the volcano and local sights, trip to lava tube.
  •   Trip to Volcano- Kilauea Crater and Pele fire goddess ceremony. Evening return to Kona after an amazing day

BIG ISLAND BLISS RETREAT 2022 Release and waiver of liability disclaimer: I hereby agree to the following: 1. That I am participating in the Big Island Bliss Retreat 2022 with Patricia Athena & Jenn Sedman, during which I will be participating in all water and land activities including ocean swimming. I recognize that these activities require physical exertion that may be strenuous and may cause physical injury, and I am fully aware of the risks and hazards involved.
2. I understand that it is my responsibility to consult with a physician prior to and regarding my participation in the yoga classes, bodywork, workshops, and any other activities on the retreat. I represent and warrant that I am physically fit and I have no medical condition that would prevent my full participation in any activities associated with the retreat, or any physical activities.
3. In consideration of being permitted to participate in the Big Island Bliss Retreat 2022 with Patricia Athena & Jenn Sedman, I agree to assume full responsibility for any risks, injuries or damages, known or unknown, which I might incur as a result of participating in the Retreat.
4. In further consideration of being permitted to participate in the retreat, I knowingly, voluntarily and expressly waive any claim I may have against Patricia Athena or Jenn Sedman, Aloha Retreats & Living in Bliss program. 5. I, my heirs or legal representatives forever release waive, discharge and covenant not to sue Patricia Athena or Jenn Sedman, Aloha Retreats or Living in Bliss for any injury or death caused by their negligence or other acts.
6. I have read the above release and waiver of liability and fully understand its contents.

What to Bring
For swimming sessions. We recommend a good set of snorkel and fins. The correct gear is so important. Jenn and Patricia Athena will guide you in being comfortable in the water plus advise about your gear. You can hire / buy them in Hawaii.

Practice is very important so that no time is wasted in Hawaii and you feel comfortable with your gear in the water.

This will definitely enhance your dolphin/ ocean experience. Bring hats and a good sun cream plus a rash shirt to protect against the sun. We may be in the water for 1 hour or more.

Bring monies for spending on coffees and snacks along the way. There will be 4-5 meals at a restaurants and will vary in cost from $8- $20. There will be short stops for shopping and you are encouraged to do your bigger shopping before or after the tour.

DAY 6
  • 7am Breakfast Kona boat trip out with the dolphins
  • Lunch and afternoon, afternoon local tour of the area, Francene Hart gallery. Beautiful Hawaiian images.
  • Sunset Yoga and meditation and massage/healing session
  • 7pm- evening program- dolphin stories-  Patricia Athena and local pod
DAY 7
  • 7am Breakfast and early dolphin swim in the bay
  • Lunch and afternoon  
  • Sunset Yoga and meditation and sharing
  • Celebration and Farewell Dinner-with dance and music
DAY 8
  • Early swim and prepare for departure. Aloha until next time!
